Owyhee County Rodeo got its start in 1946 and has been a local staple of the Homedale area ever since. Everyone from kids to adults can have fun at our rodeo events. What events do we host?

We stack our calendar with a wide range of events to satisfy all of our audiences. We proudly host:

  • Bareback
  • Steer Wrestling
  • Team Roping Saddle Bronc
  • Tie down roping
  • Barrel racing
  • Bull riding
  • Wild horse race events: Riders race their horses to the finish line.
  • Steer riding events: Teens ride on steers in preparation for bull riding. Sign up date is July 18th 9am-1 pm (Open ONE DAY ONLY)
  • Mutton busting events: Kids between ages 5 and 7 ride sheep like bucking broncos. Sign up date is July 18th 9am-1 pm (Open ONE DAY ONLY)
